“The sacred valley of Kulu lies hidden on the border of Lahul and Tibet, forming the northernmost part of the Punjab. It is hard to say whether it was the area of Aryashvara or Aryavarta. But the most significant names and events are concentrated in this beneficial valley. It is called the Silver Valley. Both in winter, when the snow sparkles, and in the spring, when all the fruit trees are covered with snow-white flowers, the valley equally well deserves its name.

In this ancient place, there are three hundred and sixty gods. Among them there is also Gotama Rishi, who dedicated himself to the Buddhism and, as you know, lived here for centuries. Here is Akbar the Great, whose statue is installed in the temple of Malan, and all the teachers and heroes, who, by sword or by spirit, won great battles.”
